This is a really good way to get loads of people to promote your website. Affiliate programs are a great tool to help you increase website traffic. But, how do they work? You make contact with loads of people and ask them to promote a product/service of yours. In return, you will pay them a commission if someone visits your website (via them) and buys something. It’s incredibly savvy because you’re only going to lose money when you make money. The only way you’ll pay commission is when you make a sale.
But, if someone visits you via an affiliate but doesn’t buy anything, you pay nothing. So, you’re not spending money but you’re still getting web traffic. You can see now why it’s such a fantastic idea! The key is finding people with blogs or websites, that are willing to be your affiliates.
Improve SEO
SEO is so important for anyone trying to get website traffic. If your business is struggling to get noticed online, it could be down to poor on-site SEO. You can test out your website’s SEO by doing a simple thing. As Results First note, SEO is all about key phrases and words. What you should do is search for keywords that relate to your business. If your website isn’t showing up on the first page, you need to improve your SEO. You want your site to be one of the first results when you search for relevant keywords.
To improve your SEO, you’re going to have to look at your site stats. You can use tools like Google Analytics to see how people are visiting your site. You’ll be able to identify what words they searched for to click on you. Thus, you can pinpoint some keywords for your business. Then, you’ll have to find ways of implementing them onto your site.
Use PPC Marketing
Pay per click marketing is similar to SEO in that it involves search engines. The idea is the same too; you want to get your website to the top of the search results. But, the way you do it is different. SEO can be free, but PPC will always cost you money. With PPC, you will bid for certain keywords via advertising services like AdWords. The amount you bid will vary based on how competitive the keyword is. If you’re the highest bidder, your site will appear right at the top of the search results. It will be shown in a special ‘sponsored links’ section. Then, you will pay the amount you bid every time someone clicks on your site via the link. Essentially, you’re paying for website visitors.
It’s a very good way of getting more visitors to your website. However, some people may be put off by the costs. I recommend you try a bit of PPC marketing to give your site a little traffic boost. Even if you only do it for a restricted amount of time.
